Food Service Team Member
At Harmony Recovery, our teams support clients through compassionate, person-centered care in every part of the day—including mealtimes. As a Food Service Team Member, you will help prepare and serve meals and maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining environment that supports client wellbeing and recovery.
Position Details
Pay Range: $21–$22.50 per hour
Supervision: Food Services Manager
What You Will Do
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a sanitary manner and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Organize and maintain the kitchen and dining room to ensure cleanliness and reduce safety hazards.
- Assist with inventory by ensuring items are properly labeled and stored safely.
- Take appropriate action to prevent food contamination and minimize food waste.
- Maintain compliance with all confidentiality laws and regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and 42 CFR Part 2, as well as all Harmony policies and procedures.
- Six months to three years of experience working in an institutional or professional kitchen (preferred).
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (required if driving a Harmony vehicle or driving for Harmony business).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes, portioning guidance, and department procedures.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate respectfully with clients and staff.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while preparing and serving meals.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling kitchen carts as needed.
