Position Overview
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose psychiatric disorders.
- Develop and manage treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications.
- Provide medication management follow-up visits.
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing.
- Coordinate care with primary care physicians, neurologists, therapists, and care managers.
- Document encounters in the EMR within 48 hours.
- Participate in quality programs, including behavioral health initiatives.
- Supervise or collaborate with behavioral health care coordinators for collaborative care when applicable.
- Maintain DEA registration, state licensure, and board certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSN or DNP.
- Active Maryland NP license.
- Board-certified PMHNP.
- DEA registration.
- Minimum 1–2 years of psychiatric experience preferred
- Comfortable with telemedicine.
Base salary: $145,000–150,000
Bonus after 6 months: $5,000 if agreed productivity and quality metrics are met.
Annual performance bonus tied to collections and quality.
PTO, CME allowance, malpractice coverage, DEA/licensure reimbursement.
Hybrid or semi remote option if desired.
