Automotive Electrical Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems on a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring schematics, and the use of advanced diagnostic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and electronic system failures in automotive vehicles.
- Read, interpret, and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical service information.
- Use manufacturer-specific diagnostic scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to identify and resolve faults.
- Perform testing and repairs on vehicle communication networks (CAN Bus, LIN Bus, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair issues related to starting, charging, lighting, ignition, HVAC, safety, and body control systems.
- Install, test, and repair electrical components, wiring harnesses, sensors, modules, and control units.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Electrical Technician or Automotive Diagnostic Technician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience using vehicle manufacturer diagnostic software and scan tools.
- Proficient in the use of multimeters, test lights, oscilloscopes, and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant automotive certifications are considered an asset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multiple vehicle manufacturers and diagnostic platforms.
- Knowledge of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
