Pay Range: $18-$28/hr. (depending on experience)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints, laying out and fitting structural steel components, and preparing parts for welding and assembly. This role is essential for producing high-quality structural assemblies used in industrial, commercial, and heavy fabrication projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications to determine layout and fit-up requirements.
- Measure, mark, and fit structural steel components such as beams, columns, braces, plates, and connections to precise tolerances.
- Prepare materials for assembly using hand tools and power tools, including torches, grinders, saws, and layout tools.
- Assemble and align components in preparation for welding or other joining methods.
- Verify workpiece dimensions using precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and shop personnel to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Report any defects, material issues, or concerns to the supervisor promptly
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a structural fitter, steel fabricator, or similar role.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Proficiency with hand and power tools used in metal fitting and fabrication.
Basic understanding of welding processes and fabrication procedures.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training in welding/fabrication is a plus.

- MUST have a valid and CLEAN drivers’ license,

- Skills:
· Comfort with measurements, fractions, and shop math.
