AdventHealth will bring a 60-acre health and wellness campus to Lake Nona in late 2026. This location will offer medical innovations on a campus designed around whole person health with comprehensive services, destination lifestyle programs, and much more that will shape the next generation of health care.
We are proud to be a part of the growing Lake Nona community with an established comprehensive network of care. Our services include emergency services, urgent care, a wide range of medical specialists (including primary care), lab, imaging, orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Monitors cases to ensure all infection control measures are met, including correctly opening sterile supplies and identifying breaks in sterile technique.
Participates in the preparation of the patient for procedures as directed by the RN and communicates pertinent patient information to the RN.
Adheres to policies related to patient identification and confidentiality, and applies knowledge of surgical specialty positioning equipment.
Ensures safe transport, transfer, and positioning of patients utilizing good body mechanics while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
Performs other duties as assigned. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department and adheres to all policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate written and verbal information.
Knowledge of sterile technique and operating room environment.
Ability to comprehend instructions and processes to carry out job requirements.
Education:
Work Experience:
Experience working with patients in an acute care setting. [Preferred]
PCT experience (dependent on role) [Preferred]
Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting. [Preferred]
