Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs and preferences
- Demonstrate product features through engaging demos and explain benefits to enhance customer understanding
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory to ensure an attractive store presentation
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and following visual standards
- Conduct product demos confidently to educate customers about new arrivals or featured items
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Proven supervising experience or leadership skills to assist in team coordination when needed
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and sales totals
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices
- Experience with stock replenishment, product demos, and upselling strategies to enhance sales performance
