ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to oversee all safety activities for large-scale MTA projects; specifically, for the Broadway Junction Station Complex (MTA Design-Build Contract A37130), located in East New York, Brooklyn.
The individual shall be responsible for managing the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the general public; enforcing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards; identifying known/potential exposures and recommending corrective actions; reporting project-specific safety performance and future plans; working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction; develop project-specific safe work plans; and coordinate third party safety reviews, including OSHA, among other activities.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing construction safety including experience as the head of safety on at least one (1) transit, commuter rail or design-build project
Track Safety Trained for NYCT
OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction
OSHA 30-hr Training for Construction
NYCT Right-of-Way (ROW) experience with flagging and diversions of service
40-hour NYC-Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager Course
Member of the ASSP
Undergraduate degree in Safety and Health or related discipline a plus
Active ASP/and or CHST designation a plus
The annual salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 in addition to bonus potential, 401k Safe Harbor Contribution, health benefits, paid time off, and more.
