CDL Class A Driver Armawi is a trucking company that supports Animal Nutrition Systems, a company who provides mineral feed to dairies throughout Arizona. Animal Nutrition Systems has been in business for over 40 years.We are looking to hire a driver at Armawi who will bring a positive mindset to our growing team. This position is physically active and requires a lot of lifting/moving as well as being outside and in dusty working areas. This person must be very attentive to detail and open to a variety of different tasks throughout the day. We are seeking a dependable and efficient driver with a Class A CDL Driver’s License who has a dedicated and strong physical and mental stamina to support his/her ability to withstand long hours on the road. The candidate must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently while supporting our team at both Armawi and Animal Nutrition Systems in delivering of our cattle feed to local Phoenix dairies.
*Please note our pay rate will reflect experience and is listed at the starting pay for the minimum experience. We welcome those with more experience to apply and will offer a higher starting pay range dependent on such experience.
Labor Duties & Responsibilities:
- Delivery of cattle feed to various dairies in Phoenix area
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive assigned vehicle(s)
- Ability to drive walking floor, flatbed, and stringer trailers
- Assist in mapping out daily driving routes
- Manage time and delivery, including traffic concerns and communicate if any delays are occurring
- Ability to confirm delivery and obtain signatures confirming complete and weighed deliveries
- Ensure contents of truck(s) are properly secured, during filing and drop off as well
- Be aware of truck maintenance – alert manager of any issues or concerns
- Adhere to company policies, rules, and regulations to promote safe and efficient deliveries, daily
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather and/or road conditions – ability to identify any concerns and communicate back to manager
- Comply with DOT regulations
- Safety must be a priority at all times
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current Class A CDL Driver’s License
- Valid DOT physical and clean MVR
- 3 Years’ experience required
- Experience in operating forklifts preferred
- Strong driving skills and knowledge of road and truck safety
- Must be punctual and maintain driving and delivery schedules
- Willingness to work hard and well with our team
- Must pass drug screening and background check
- Pass road test (administered by manager)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficient using GPS and have a good sense of direction and understanding of our delivery routes
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Ability to adapt to daily changes and willingness to work with team to coordinate on time deliveries
- Ability to work 6am-5pm shift (covering last load of day)
- Must be willing to work outside, including summertime, at parts of each shift
- Must understand the product we deliver can be dusty in loading and delivery
