About the Role:
Dubies Love Residential Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in their home environment
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation
- Support clients in community integration, social activities, and skill-building exercises
- Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members regarding client needs and progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred
- Genuine compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
