Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary eye exams, including visual acuity tests and basic vision assessments
- Measure and record patient medical histories, including symptoms and medications
- Perform diagnostic tests such as tonometry (eye pressure), visual field testing, and OCT scans
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and positioning equipment
- Administer eye drops as directed by the physician
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Document test results and update patient records accurately and maintain patient confidentiality (includes HIPAA)
- Educate patients on eye care and post-treatment instructions
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
