Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: North Bergen, NJ
Type: Contract | 18 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: 5x8 Day Shifts | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Training Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
No Weekends | No Holidays | No On-Call | No Floating
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Mammography Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in North Bergen, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations following ACR requirements
- Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, breast localization, and other image-guided procedures
- Perform mammographic imaging for breast needle localization and stereotactic procedures
- Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and advanced breast imaging services
- Position patients properly and select appropriate imaging techniques and technical factors
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete patient requisitions and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with mammography quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Educate patients regarding procedures and breast self-examination (BSE) instructions
- Maintain compliance with ACR, MQSA, FDA, and NJ State regulations
- Provide patient-centered care tailored to patient age, culture, and communication needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Mammography Technologist experience required
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Active Diagnostic Radiography License required
- ARRT Certification required
- Mammography-specific certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of employment
- Breast imaging competencies required
- Excellent communication and patient care skills required
