About the Role:
Highland Auto & Truck Repair, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Reading, PA. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled technicians to work on a diverse range of diesel vehicles in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on diesel engines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment.
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate repair needs effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest diesel technology and repair techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Valid Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience.
- Driver's license, Class A/B preferred.
- PA State Inspection license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
