Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our growing team. This role ensures that our projects are accurately bid, efficiently executed, and completed to the highest standards. As a key player, you will drive project success from initial cost analysis through to completion, fostering strong client relationships and maintaining rigorous cost control. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management and scheduling software.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive scope of work aligned with client requirements.
- Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing conditions, gather data, and identify potential challenges early in the project lifecycle.
- Review estimates, ensuring accuracy in pricing and scope of work.
- Collaborate with general contractor, vendors, and internal teams through effective negotiation to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery while maintaining strict cost control measures.
- Oversee construction activities on-site, coordinating with construction management teams to ensure adherence to electrical code and safety protocols.
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and adjust plans proactively to mitigate risks or delays during execution.
- Draft and review contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to protect company interests and maintain clear communication channels.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction with a focus on electrical systems within commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong background in construction management principles, including project planning, scheduling, and cost control.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and electrical systems installation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to use Bluebeam for document markup and collaboration; or experience with similar estimating software is highly preferred.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and safety practices.
- Skilled in negotiation with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to achieve optimal pricing and contractual agreements.
- Excellent organizational skills paired with effective communication abilities to lead projects from start to finish confidently.
