This position provides building/classroom leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven successful classroom experiences.
- Current licensed teacher in the State of Minnesota.
- Continuing contract teacher in Farmington Public Schools.
- Committed to professional development and growth.
- Demonstrates expertise in curriculum development.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in promoting strong student learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of district professional development opportunities which will support individual teacher needs.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including displaying respect, empathy and integrity with encouraging and supporting individual and team efforts.
Essential Functions:
- On site Facilitator for staff in the following areas; IGDP, and duties delineated by FATPPS building team
- Provides support and coaching for teachers in the Domains of Charlotte Danielson Framework of Teaching.
- Participates in demonstration teaching and team teaching.
- Facilitates the IGDP process working in existing Professional Learning Communities (PLC's).
- Research best practices, implements strategies, provides opportunities for evaluation of student work and promotes teacher reflection and self evaluations.
- Member of the Building Staff Development Committee. Participates in Staff Development workshops as a trainer/facilitator.
- Communicates with building administrators about PLC and IGDP goals, strategies and outcomes.
- Facilitators of Instructional Support will seek input from peers, building administrators and FATPPS committee members for reflection, professional growth and observation purposes for their personal success and evaluation process in this position.
Nominal Stipend: $2500
The position will pay a fixed stipend as delineated in Schedule Q of the teacher contract. The stipend amount is considered a "nominal stipend". The amount of the stipend will not change based on the number of daily hours that are devoted to duties.
