Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring an exceptional experience for every customer.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order taking and payment processing.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
- Assist in food preparation and handling while adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Needs to be available for Early Morning shifts and availability on weekends.
- Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Previous food server experience is preferred but not mandator; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques in a café or food service setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
