We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic Siteworks Division specializing in Civil Infrastructure and Underground Utilities Installations throughout Northern California. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results on time while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks with precision and safety awareness.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Handle materials effectively using material handling equipment like front loaders, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks.
- Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, back-filling & compaction, underground utilities installations, along with loading/unloading materials, and site cleanup activities.
- Coordinate with team members to execute construction tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), backhoes, and other heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and basic maintenance procedures for construction machinery.
- Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving commercial trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or tankers.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in using hand tools and adhering to safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of occupational safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks involving lifting, bending, climbing, and prolonged periods of operation.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
