Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing nursing staff with DON, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices across various specialties, including emergency medicine and critical care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient conditions, including vital signs and triage.
- Oversee the administration of medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Provide guidance in emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine and critical care.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols, particularly in sterile processing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Facilitate training and development programs for nursing staff to enhance skills in areas such as dementia care and occupational health.
- Monitor the use of electronic health records systems, including Athenahealth, for accurate documentation.
Experience
- A valid nursing license with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in emergency medicine, triage procedures, and critical care practices.
- Familiarity with patient care standards, including dementia care and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience with sterile processing techniques is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
