The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales performance, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting daily store operations. This position serves as a key representative of the company by creating a positive shopping experience for customers while contributing to the overall success of the store.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
o Greet customers promptly and professionally
o Identify customer needs and recommending appropriate products
o Educate customers on product features and company promotions
o Build customer relationships that encourage repeat business
o Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate
o Assist in resolving customer complaints and concerns when appropriate
o Accurately process sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and other point-of-sale activities in accordance with Company policies
o Maintain proper cash accountability
o Handle all payment transactions in accordance with Company policies
o Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, sales counter, and behind counter
o Assist with product displays and promotional setups as needed
o Stock and organize incoming merchandise per Company policies
o Monitor inventory levels
o Notify management of any inventory concerns including but not limited to product counts
o Follow Company policies regarding inventory control and loss prevention
o Communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- Compliance and Administrative Duties
o Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
o Follow all age verification, identification, and compliance regarding applicable federal, state, and local regulations
o Maintain company and customer confidentiality
o Keep up with appropriate trainings and product information as applicable Additional responsibilities and duties may arise per management request
Qualifications
o All eligible employees must be 21 years of age or older
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills
o Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
o Basic math and computer skills
o Reliable transportation to home store and dependable attendance
o Previous retail, customer service, sales, or cash-handling experience
o Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
o Experience meeting sales goals or performance metrics
o Experience with point-of-sale systems.

- Individual sales performance and contribution to store sales

Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a retail environment and may require occasional work in office, warehouse, stockroom, or field settings. The work environment may include exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and frequent interactions with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.
