Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Pre-operative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing exceptional patient care during the critical recovery phase following surgery. As a PACU/Pre-op RN, you will play a vital role in monitoring patients, managing pain, and ensuring their comfort and safety as they transition from anesthesia.
Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery.
- Administer medications and manage pain effectively, utilizing pain management techniques.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure continuity of care and address any complications that may arise.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery expectations.
- Document patient progress accurately in patient chart.
- Assist with ventilatory support as needed for patients requiring additional care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing skills.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a PACU, Pre-op, emergency room, or critical care setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
