Upper Cumberland Cancer Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient oncology and hematology practice in Crossville, Tennessee.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced medical oncologist in a community-based practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered cancer care.
Position Highlights
- Four-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
- No weekends
- Outpatient setting only
- Typical patient volume of 10–15 patients per day

Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with predominately benign hematologic, oncologic, and bone density conditions in an outpatient setting
- Perform patient assessments, follow-up visits, and treatment evaluations
- Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Collaborate with the supervising physician to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor patient tolerance and response to therapy and adjust care plans as appropriate
- Review outside medical records and assist with care coordination
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and supportive care
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience preferred
- Oncology or hematology experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care
Certification
Candidates without oncology certification will be expected to obtain certification within 18 months of employment. Costs associated with certification will be covered by the practice.
