POSITION: Senior Electronics Technician

An Electronics Technician (EE-Tech) will calibrate, test and repair the power electronics systems used in our UPS products. He will work as a member of both our production and service departments and will provide support to engineering when required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
An EE-Tech performs tests to determine whether a product meets performance specifications. He diagnoses malfunctions or production problems on the basis of the test results. He disassembles electronics and replaces or repairs defective components or assembly. Reworks PCB’s as required. Calibrates and configures our products using PC based tools. Calibrates and maintains required test instrumentation.
This job requires exceptional debugging skills at the component level and the ability to replace and repair failed or damaged components while assuring the integrity of the system as a whole. The job requires the ability to work in a fast-paced focused production environment. Ability to travel for field service on infrequent basis a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years minimum related experience.
- AA Degree preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electronics
- Strong electronics aptitude.
- Experience with power electronic components: IGBT’s, MOSFETS, transformers, etc.
