Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in core subject areas.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress using formal and informal assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to promote student success.
- Utilize technology and innovative instructional strategies to enhance learning.
- Maintain classroom management practices that foster respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required).
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate elementary certification.
- Experience teaching upper elementary grades is preferred but not required.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and helping every student reach their full potential.
