AKAASA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week Med Surg/eICU travel assignment at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Wisconsin.
The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to both Medical-Surgical and eICU patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in a collaborative acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg and eICU patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate significant changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN License
- Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- PALS preferred
- Comfortable caring for both Med Surg and eICU patients.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
Schedule
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- 36 Guaranteed Hours
- Every 4th weekend required
- Every other holiday rotation
- No on-call required
- Overtime available after 40 hours
