Registered Nurse – IV Infusion Clinic

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong IV infusion experience to join our growing clinical team. This role will focus heavily on infusion therapy services while also supporting broader nursing and clinical operations within the practice as needed. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable helping support the growth and development of a new infusion program.
Primary Responsibilities
· Participate in the development, organization, and implementation of IV infusion protocols and clinical workflows
· Perform IV starts, venipuncture, medication administration, and infusion monitoring
· Monitor patients during and after infusion treatments for adverse reactions or complications
· Administer IV infusion therapies safely and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
· Assist in establishing and refining infusion processes, patient safety standards, and treatment procedures as the infusion program grows
· Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system
· Prepare infusion medications, supplies, and treatment rooms
· Educate patients regarding infusion therapies, medications, treatment expectations, and aftercare instructions
· Assist physicians and providers with clinical procedures and patient care as needed
· Obtain vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliation, and patient assessments
· Coordinate laboratory work, specimen handling, and diagnostic testing when required
· Maintain infection control standards and OSHA compliance
· Assist with inventory management, medication supplies, and clinical ordering
· Provide flexibility and support for additional clinical and operational needs within the practice as the infusion clinic expands
· Respond appropriately to urgent patient situations and medical emergencies
Qualifications
· Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
· Minimum 2 years of IV infusion experience preferred
· Strong IV insertion and venous access skills required
· Experience in cardiology, infusion therapy, concierge medicine, internal medicine, or specialty practice preferred
· ACLS certification preferred
· Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative team
· Comfortable caring for medically complex patients
· EMR experience required
· Willingness to contribute to program development and evolving clinical workflows
