We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries, including complex transactions involving debits & credits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial data across general ledger accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including ledger review and financial statement preparation.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Utilize Excel data analysis skills to interpret financial data, prepare reports, and identify discrepancies or trends for management review.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working with various accounting systems.
- Strong technical accounting skills including journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and general ledger maintenance.
- Familiarity with payroll management systems like Paychex or UltiPro is preferred; experience with payroll processing is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel—for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Ability to communicate effectively within teams and provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal stakeholders or external auditors.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
