Manufacturing Planning Coordinator
Department: Supply Chain/Planning
Reports To: Supply Chain Planning Manager
Status: Full-Time Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily execution of manufacturing by preparing, organizing, and distributing production documentation required throughout the factory. This position ensures that manufacturing personnel receive complete and accurate job packets, labels, travelers, and production documentation necessary to execute production efficiently.
In addition to production documentation, this role provides clerical and administrative support to the Supply Chain Planning function by preparing daily production schedules, department staffing plans, shipping schedules, and other manufacturing reports that assist with production execution and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working within an ERP system, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Manufacturing Documentation
- Print production job travelers from Epicor ERP.
- Print product identification labels.
- Print customer shipping labels.
- Print regulatory and compliance labels.
- Assemble complete production job packets for manufacturing.
- Verify packets contain all required documentation before release.
- Distribute job packets to the appropriate manufacturing departments.
- Print CNC router travelers and supporting documentation.
- Maintain document control to ensure only current revisions are released.
- Reprint and update documentation as engineering or scheduling changes occur.
Production Planning Support
Assist the Supply Chain Planning Manager by preparing and maintaining:
- Daily chair production schedule
- Daily lounge production schedule
- Daily table production schedule
- Department headcount schedules
- Daily shipping schedule
- Manufacturing production reports
- Work center load reports
- Production backlog reports
- Capacity planning worksheets
- Schedule adherence reports
ERP Administration
- Enter and maintain manufacturing information within Epicor ERP.
- Verify production orders are complete prior to release.
- Monitor production documentation for accuracy.
- Assist with resolving ERP-related document issues.
- Coordinate schedule changes with Production Planning.
- Support manufacturing order releases.
Manufacturing Support
- Communicate schedule changes to production departments.
- Support supervisors with production documentation requests.
- Prepare replacement travelers and labels when required.
- Assist with production status reporting.
- Support inventory and material planning activities as assigned.
- Maintain filing and organization of production documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to document flow and scheduling processes.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Assist with ERP process improvements.
- Help standardize manufacturing documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
Experience
Preferred:
- 2+ years in manufacturing administration
- Production planning support
- ERP system experience (Epicor preferred)
- Manufacturing office environment
- Scheduling or production coordination
