SUMMARY:
This position works under the general supervision of the _______of The Wyndstone to coordinate activities for the residents of Wyndstone.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: Resident Responsibilities
Plans and coordinates activities for the residents.
Works as a team member to assure that the activities are challenging and meet resident’s social, and educational and spiritual needs
Contact new residents and assess their abilities, needs and choices of activities
Work cooperatively with other staff members to develop a monthly activity calendar for residents
Attends and participates in Care Plans at the Wyndstone
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: Communication
Complete necessary documentation
Has daily contact with residents, staff members, volunteers and resident family members and guests.
Maintains relations between community members, visitors and guests of residents and vendors
Write a daily Chronicle for residents
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: Safety
Obeys safety rules of St. John’s United
Attends mandatory safety in-services
Keep activity area and storage areas clean and orderly

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: Employee Responsibilities
Follows policy and procedures on TB testing.
Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations.
Attends all mandatory in-services
Performs other duties as assigned by the
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge and skills acquired through completion of high school. Six months previous work experience in a similar setting is preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Must be knowledgeable about community resources, community events and other opportunities that will make the activity program interesting and challenging to residents.
Ability to develop, plan and coordinate activity programs independently
Need to have the ability to work under time deadlines, manage time efficiently and work effectively with a variety of staff members, residents and other personnel
Must possess a valid MT Drivers License, CDL endorsement preferred.
Must possess a good driving record
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires the ability to stand, bend, lift and walk for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Normal health care environment.
