2nd Shift CNC Machinist
Steel 21 is seeking a full-time 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join our growing team. This position is focused on hands-on machining and production responsibilities, including operating CNC equipment, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule during second shift.
**$2.00/hour shift premium for 2nd shift**
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines and tooling (experience with OKK and V-tec mills is a plus)
- Machine die sets, mold plates, and weldments
- Slab steel plates to customer specifications
- Select and apply proper CNC tooling
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
- Clean, deburr, and finish parts
- Operate and drive a forklift
- Perform minor mill maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Hold yourself to a high standard of quality and take pride in your work
- Be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production schedules and business demands.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to read and use micrometers and various machinist tools
- Knowledge and understanding of G and M codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong math skills
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Dependability is a must
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members
- Team-oriented mindset
- Positive attitude and problem-solving approach
- 5+ Years of CNC experience
- Works independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
