We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Hostess Cashier to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations using restaurant table management systems, coordinating seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, practicing proper phone etiquette and providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and menu offerings
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, ensuring smooth seating transitions
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Assist in maintaining food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols during cashiering and guest interactions
- Support team members in providing excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and foster guest relations
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
