This vital role involves picking up litter, maintaining cleanliness, managing recyclable materials, and supporting the County's landfill operations with enthusiasm and safety consciousness. Your proactive attitude and commitment to safety will help ensure our landfill remains a clean, efficient, and environmentally compliant facility.
Duties
- Pick up wind-strewn litter across various zones of the landfill to ensure environment compliance, using litter pick-up tool and deposit litter in bags.
- Maintain cleanliness of the landfill site by removing debris, waste, and ensuring proper disposal of materials.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE), safety eyewear, and hat to ensure safety during outdoor work activities.
- Follow all safety regulations with litter handling, and sanitation procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
Skills
- Physically capable of walking, bending, and have visual abilities to ensure safety.
- Like to work outdoors and don't mind heat or windy conditions.
