SERV Logistics specializes in nationwide third-party brokerage services. In addition, the company offers warehouse solutions with three warehouses in the Chicagoland area.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. Duties
- Enter and verify data in accounting software including QuickBooks and PortPro to maintain precise financial records.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Billing
- Conduct data entry with high accuracy using 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping techniques while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Requirements
- Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management System)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and bookkeeping tasks.
- Previous experience in transportation industry such as freight brokerage and/or carrier company a plus
- Basic understanding of accounting practices.
