Join our dynamic team as an Over the Road Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of delivering freight regionally and across long distances. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 2019 Kenworth Sleeper Cab with different trailer setups (dry van, flatbed, step-deck, reefer) to deliver goods in a timely and accurate manner. Your focus on customer service, safety, and efficiency will drive success as you navigate routes with confidence and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across regional and long-haul routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport diverse freight types, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, step deck, and dry van trailers, ensuring secure handling throughout transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- NO TOUCH FREIGHT/ You will need to secure freight i.e (Load bars, Straps etc)
- Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while avoiding delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on over-the-road routes; delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment when applicable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
- Strong route planning skills with an emphasis on efficiency and timeliness.
