American Dedicated Logistics is offering competitive rates, seeking immediate opportunities for Dedicated Routes Independent Contractors/Couriers for local delivery services.
As an independent contractor, you are not being hired by American Dedicated Logistics. You are the business owner of your business or company.
You Should Have the Following:
- Be knowledgeable of the local area
- A Dependable Vehicle
- Proof of Insurance (bodily injury liability of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per incident and $50,000 property damage liability is required)
A dependable full-time driver that can work 8-9 hours per day.. This job requires you to have your own vehicle, 2013 or newer and must provide your own insurance. Policy limits must be 100/300/50 and we will need a copy of your limits when you start. Candidates must be knowledgeable of Newport News & Virginia Beach Area
Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all times.
- Use hand held device for routing information, customer delivery information.
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
- Load and unload packages to be delivered
- Lift packages up to 30 lbs
- You must have your own vehicle (All types of vehicle are applicable for different routes. i.e. Economy car, Mini Van, Cargo (or Sprinter Van).
- Must have a great communications skills.
