AG-Industrial Inc. is growing and looking to add to our team. We are a growing farm equipment dealership seeking a full-time Equipment Sales Representative to support our customers and drive equipment sales. Experience working with agricultural or construction equipment is preferred.

JOB AUTHORITY
This position has no management responsibilities and reports directly to the Sales Manager. The role requires coordination with Trucking, Parts, and Service departments.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of this position is the marketing and sale of whole goods products carried by the dealership, while building strong customer relationships and supporting overall dealership growth.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESRevenue Generation & Customer Relations
- Develop an understanding of local markets and customer needs.
- Visit prospective customers and build relationships to create current and future sales and service opportunities.
- Maintain customer visit and follow-up logs to support ongoing sales efforts.
- Greet walk-in customers promptly and assess their needs.
- Handle phone, email, website, and other inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals.
- Develop and maintain a customer database including contact information and purchase history.
- Regularly contact past, current, and prospective customers to identify needs and communicate promotions.
- Provide administrative staff with accurate information required to complete sales documentation.
Equipment Preparation & Display
- Assist in preparing equipment for sale, including coordinating basic inspections with service staff.
- Identify and facilitate minor cosmetic improvements on used equipment.
- Arrange trucking and delivery logistics for customer equipment.
- Maintain equipment displays in an organized and attractive manner.
- Photograph equipment for marketing and advertising purposes.
- Work with Sales and Marketing leadership on advertising efforts.
- Verify pricing with Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager.
Sales Process & Negotiation
- Negotiate equipment sales professionally and respectfully.
- Determine applicable charges such as freight and delivery.
- Accept payment or coordinate financing arrangements.
- Work with administrative personnel to complete transaction documentation and update records.
- Follow up with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stay current on dealership products, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
- Represent the company at trade shows, fairs, and promotional events.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support other sales and service personnel as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGEExperience — Required
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Knowledge of or experience in agriculture, landscaping, or construction industries.
- Sales experience preferred but not required.
Experience — Preferred
- Computer proficiency.
- Mechanical knowledge of agricultural or construction equipment.
Skills & Abilities — Required
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to sell and build relationships.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to learn and use computer systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work weekdays, Saturdays, and occasional evenings as required.
- Ability to assist with displays at events and shows.
- Maintain activity logs and communicate with Sales Manager regularly.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Skills & Abilities — Preferred
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate a forklift or similar equipment.
Education & KnowledgeRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and trends.
Preferred
- Trade school or college coursework in sales, marketing, business, accounting, or agricultural mechanics.
