Team Health Insurance is seeking a dynamic and client-focused Relationship Manager to join our team. Position Summary
This position is the heart of our client experience. The Relationship Manager develops meaningful, lasting relationships with clients by providing thoughtful guidance, timely communication, and personalized attention. Acting as both advocate and problem-solver, this individual helps clients navigate questions, coordinates resources, follows through on commitments, and ensures no client ever feels like just another account number. Through consistency, empathy, and attention to detail, the Relationship Manager drives client retention and becomes a trusted advisor clients rely upon year after year.
Compensation
- Base pay of $31.25/hour annualized to $65,000
- Performance bonuses with the opportunity to earn an additional $32,000+ per year

Duties and Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned employer groups.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, executives, HR teams, and benefits administrators.
- Conduct regular client check-ins and account reviews.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and service requests.
- Coordinate resolution of benefit, enrollment, billing, eligibility, and claims issues.
Account Management
- Manage annual renewal timelines and client communications.
- Assist with benefit strategy discussions, renewal presentations and quotes.
- Coordinate implementation of new plans and carrier transitions.
- Ensure client records and account documentation are accurate and current.
- Monitor service levels and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Benefits and Insurance Support
Support clients with:
- Medical insurance
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Life and disability insurance
- Voluntary benefits
- Ancillary benefit programs
- Explain plan options, carrier offerings, and benefit changes.
- Assist clients with compliance-related communications and required notices.
Business Development and Retention
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
- Partner with producers and brokers on cross-selling and renewal strategies.
- Support client retention efforts through proactive relationship management.
- Participate in networking and client events as appropriate.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with producers, account managers, carrier representatives, and administrative staff.
- Coordinate client projects and ensure timely follow-through.
- Assist with special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Washington State Life & Health Insurance License
- 3+ years of client relationship, account management, benefits administration, insurance, HR, or related experience.
- 3+ years of experience in employee benefits, group health insurance, or insurance brokerage.
- 3+ years of experience with Washington State small group and Trust/Health Insurance Market
- 3+ years of experience with quoting and comparing plans using AP Connect, Wired Quoted, etc.
- Experience with Employee Benefit Administrative platforms such as Employee Navigator, Ease, Gusto, Rippling, etc.
- Knowledge of employer-sponsored benefit programs and carrier products.
- Experience presenting information to clients and business leaders.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/account management systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
