Overview
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment and electrical systems within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, welding, and control wiring to ensure optimal operation of machinery. The Millwright Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our equipment through precise maintenance and repair activities.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to equipment, including electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Repair and replace faulty equipment parts, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Install, modify, and maintain low voltage control wiring and electro-hydraulic controls.
- Read hydraulic and electrical schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and system modifications.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for equipment repair or fabrication projects.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and diagnostics for future reference.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage control wiring and electro-hydraulic controls.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with hydraulic systems reading and diagnostics.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repair and fabrication purposes.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, hydraulics, and mechanical repairs.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and document work performed.
