Auraz Recreational is a locally owned and operated cannabis dispensary in Eliot, Maine. We're looking for a Budtender / Associate to join our crew.
This is a hands-on opportunity to get into the cannabis industry while working in a retail environment. You'll spend your time getting to know our products, helping customers find what they're looking for, and learning how a dispensary actually operates day to day.
No previous cannabis experience is required. We'll train you on our products, systems, procedures, and the way we do things. If you have a background in retail, hospitality, customer service, or another people-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Budtending is the primary role, and your day-to-day will include:
- Helping customers find products that fit their needs, preferences, and budget
- Learning our products, brands, menu, and current promotions
- Answering questions and making thoughtful product recommendations
- Processing sales and handling cash accurately
- Checking IDs and following Maine cannabis regulations and store procedures
- Restocking, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor looking sharp
- Assisting with inventory, receiving, and product organization
- Keeping the store clean, organized, and welcoming
- Helping with opening and closing procedures
- Answering phones and assisting with customer questions
- Pitching in wherever needed to keep the store running smoothly
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, personable, attentive, and genuinely interested in learning.
You should:
- Show up on time and be dependable
- Be comfortable talking with all kinds of customers
- Communicate well with both customers and coworkers
- Pay attention to details and follow through on what you're asked to do
- Be able to stay productive without needing to be constantly directed
- Take pride in keeping the store clean, organized, and presentable
- Be comfortable learning a large and constantly changing product menu
- Be willing to learn from your coworkers and contribute to the team
You don't need to know everything about cannabis when you walk through the door. We can teach you the products. We're looking for the right attitude, work ethic, and personality.
Room to Grow
We're a small, locally owned business, which means there's an opportunity to get exposure to more than just the sales floor.
As you gain experience and show that you're ready for more responsibility, there may be opportunities to get involved with things like inventory, merchandising, marketing, or other areas of the business.
Have skills or interests outside of budtending? Tell us about them. Graphic design, photography, social media, or other useful skills are a plus — but none are required.
