Sensible Rehab is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our medical reception team in Salem office. We are the leading speech and occupational therapy clinic in the Willamette Valley, voted Gold in “Best of the Willamette Valley” in the Specialty Therapy category since 2022! Our therapists are knowledgeable in various sub-specialties, serving patients of all ages and backgrounds. Our office accepts a variety of insurance including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, detail-oriented, dependable, and thrive on problem-solving and working with the public. Must possess the ability to communicate with patients and staff effectively for all scheduling and basic billing inquiries via phone, email, or other methods of communication. This position offers an opportunity for growth for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet patients and assist with check in/out as needed
- Answer incoming calls and place outgoing calls to patients, clinics, insurance companies, etc. in a professional manner for all locations
- Assist new and returning patients with the onboarding process according to clinic procedures
- Schedule or modify new and returning patient evaluation and treatment appointments
- Send reports to and request documentation from outside clinics
- Opening and/or closing office procedures
- Cross training in other departments such as insurance verifications and submission of insurance claims
- Other duties as needed by Office Manager
Ideal candidates would possess the following skills and abilities:
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills
- Dealing with and resolving conflict in a timely manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of general office procedures to create an efficient and positive work environment
- Experience with electronic medical records a plus
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Schedule:
- Varies depending on business needs. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
