We are a private family office based in Moorestown, NJ, managing a diversified portfolio that includes operating businesses, commercial real estate, and investments. Our team is small, collaborative, and fast-moving. The person in this role will have direct visibility into the full scope of the portfolio and work closely with senior leadership on a daily basis.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced, organized bookkeeper to own the day-to-day accounting function across a range of entities. This is a full-time, in-office role requiring someone who can manage multiple sets of books simultaneously, stay on top of deadlines, and maintain clean, accurate records without a lot of oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books for multiple entities, including operating businesses, real estate LLCs, and investment holding companies
- Record and categorize transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process vendor payments and track outstanding invoices
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes
- Prepare financial reports for management review
- Coordinate with outside accountants and tax preparers, providing supporting documentation as needed
- Maintain organized digital and physical records for all entities
- Support ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as they arise
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-entity or family office environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required (QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop)
- Experience with real estate entities, partnerships, or closely held businesses is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple entities simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a small office environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work directly with ownership and senior management
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, but not required with sufficient experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience
- Health insurance after 6 months

- Full-time, in-office position: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
