Overview
Artistic Cabinet Shop is looking for an experienced, highly organized, and proactive General Manager / Project Manager to oversee our custom cabinetry projects and day-to-day shop operations.
This is a hands-on management position for someone who takes ownership, stays ahead of potential issues, and makes sure projects move smoothly from production through installation. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple projects at once, coordinate the shop team, and follow through without needing constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of cabinet manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Oversee multiple custom cabinetry projects from production through completion
- Keep projects on schedule and proactively address delays or issues
- Coordinate with designers, cabinetmakers, installers, vendors, and management
- Review project drawings and production information before work begins
- Track project progress and make sure materials, components, and information are ready when needed
- Maintain clear communication between the office, shop, and installation teams
- Identify problems early and take initiative to find solutions
- Hold team members accountable for deadlines, quality, and responsibilities
- Maintain an organized and efficient shop workflow
- Provide management with clear updates on project status and any outstanding items
- Take ownership of projects and follow through until completion
Requirements
- Previous Project Management experience required
- KCD Software experience required
- EnRoute Software experience required
- Experience in custom cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, or a similar manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of cabinetry production and installation processes
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage several active projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must be proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership
