Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join a premier, fast-paced heavy manufacturing facility in Sayreville, NJ. This is a direct-hire role designed for an experienced technician who excels at real-time electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, PLCs, and heavy industrial plant maintenance.
If you do not have heavy industrial experience troubleshooting low voltage up to 480V and working on 12-hour rotating shifts, this role will not be a match.
Mandatory Qualifications (Do Not Apply Unless You Meet These Criteria)
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Electrical Depth: Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting low-voltage systems up to 480V, AC/DC motor controls, electrical drives, and schematics.
- Automation: Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent control networks).
- Equipment Knowledge: Working knowledge of industrial pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor diagnostics/rewiring.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be fully open to working 12-hour rotating shifts, including mandatory weekend and holiday coverage.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Core Responsibilities
- Rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, electrical drives, high-voltage/low-voltage systems, and PLCs to root cause.
- Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and electronic diagrams.
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM), daily inspections, and repairs on plant machinery, rotating equipment, and industrial cranes.
- Utilize diagnostic gear (digital voltmeters, multi-volt meters, oscilloscopes) to maintain equipment peak performance.
- Maintain maintenance logs and work orders using computer systems (SAP MRO experience preferred).
- Uphold strict electrical safety protocols (NFPA 70E compliance preferred) and wear mandatory PPE.
