Overview
This role is for an engineer who helps make the engineering team work smarter, faster, and more efficiently. Instead of designing products, you'll improve the way engineers work by creating better processes, reducing wasted time, and helping teams collaborate more effectively.
What you'll do
- Find ways to improve engineering processes and workflows.
- Create and update standard procedures, templates, checklists, and best practices.
- Build dashboards and reports so managers can track projects and team performance.
- Lead continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen) projects to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Identify bottlenecks that slow down engineering projects and help remove them.
- Organize and share engineering knowledge, lessons learned, and training materials.
- Improve documentation so information is accurate, organized, and easy to find.
- Help engineering teams adopt new tools and better ways of working.
- Train and coach engineers on new processes and continuous improvement methods.
- Track improvement projects and report progress to leadership.
Skills they're looking for
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Engineering Management, or similar).
- Experience in engineering, process improvement, project coordination, or continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, process mapping, and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Comfortable creating dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lead improvement projects across different teams.
Pay: $99,852.00 - $115,192.00 per year
