Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and oversee the cleaning operations within our facility. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across all designated areas, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational readiness.
- Enforce safety procedures related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and the use of PPE to protect staff from injury.
- Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Address any guest or staff concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning standards.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience with cleaning equipment, supplies management, and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inspecting work quality.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and manual cleaning duties.
- Excellent communication skills to lead team members and coordinate with other departments.
