Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools with attention to detail
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing food service areas during busy periods
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely and correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized
- Follow proper food handling practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support food preparation activities when needed by assisting with basic cleaning or ingredient handling tasks
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, including proper dishwashing techniques and sanitation protocols
- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Basic knife skills or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to develop skills on the job

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
