RW Combs Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This full-time position requires collaboration with fellow educators, parents, and the community to support the educational journey of our middle school students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning.
- Utilize technology and various teaching resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Support extracurricular activities, including math clubs or competitions, to promote student interest in mathematics.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Uphold school policies and procedures while fostering a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school education.
- Proven experience teaching middle school mathematics or a related subject is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and curriculum standards for middle school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to support teaching and learning.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
