Job Summary:
We're hiring a support teacher who can commit to working full-time from 8 am to 4 pm. You will be working with the Provider and another teacher. Color Wings Preschool is an in-home multicultural early childhood education program. We aim to create a safe, sustainable, culturally responsive, and welcoming learning environment.
Responsibilities:
-Checking students in and out
-Open to wearing multiple hats if a teacher is out.
-Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children
-Conduct activities that promote social, emotional, and intellectual growth
-Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
-Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
-Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
-Ensure that the classroom is always in ratio (10:1)
-Help create activities and lessons using our Creative Curriculum
-Observe & Assess: observing and documenting the development of children and evaluating the achievement of developmental milestones using Teaching strategy
-Maintain records of student progress and needs with our software Bright Wheel. Participate in conferences with parents
-Provide a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
-Support children with special or individual needs
Experience:
- One year qualifying experience working with children or ECE Degree preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Patient, nurturing, and compassionate demeanor
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Certification in Early Childhood Education is a plus
