Position Summary ttg Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client seeking a detail-oriented
Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial consolidation processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries and accruals with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain clear audit trails for financial transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions across business units.
- Prepare monthly supporting schedules, analyses, and management reports.
- Assist with the preparation and consolidation of financial statements across multiple reporting entities.
- Analyze consolidated financial results and identify trends, variances, and areas requiring attention.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data within accounting systems.
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
- Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification or active progress toward CPA eligibility.
- Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting or relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and business functions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
Preferred
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Background with financial consolidations and multi-entity accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with reputable accounting firms.
