Satang Thai Cuisine, LLC dba Satang Thai Cuisine is a Thai food restaurant where you can have an authentic Thai food. Thai Specialty Cook prepares and cooks Thai Specialty dishes, designs and develops recipes, and supervises and trains line cooks in the Thai culinary arts. Incumbents must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, and may be required to bend, stoop, squat, and reach. We are currently hiring Thai Specialty Cook in Beaverton, OR.
Essential Duties:
- Use Thai culinary training and strong cooking knowledge, prepare and cook Thai Specialty dishes, pursuant to the Employer's high standards and under time pressure.
- Ensure that the food prepared is authentic and represent the delicate Thai cuisine.
- Plan, design and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.
- Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
- Supervise and train line cooks in the Thai culinary arts.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Check the quantity and quality of received products.
- Check stock levels and ordering supplies.
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Follow standards and regulations regarding sanitary practices.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of Thai cooking experience.
- The incumbent stand or walk most of the time with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, occasional lifting of objects weighing over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.
