To ensure provision of Health services for all children enrolled at Mi Escuelita Preschool.

Qualifications:
BA/BS in Health Education or any related field or a Licensed LVN with permission to practice in the State of Texas. At least 2 years’ experience in working with young children and families preferred. Familiar with health knowledge related to communicable diseases, immunization requirements, child abuse, and child development.
Responsibilities
Duties include working very closely with the Health Services Manager (NP), Site Manager, and supervising Health Assistants to ensure the provision of health services on all children enrolled in Head Start of Greater Dallas, Inc. The primary functions of the Health Specialist include the following: 1) to ensure children are linked to a medical home, 2) supervise the Health Assistant, 3) to ensure the provision of all health services by the required time, 4) to track the provision of health services, 5) to provide and refers for medical and dental services, 6) to provide health education to parents, children and staff and 7) to participate in meetings and training’s. Hemoglobin, hearing and vision testing, monitor dispensary of medication. Train staff and attend meetings.
Experience
Required:
-· Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or related field or licensed/certified health professional.
· Fluent in more than one language (Spanish Preferred)

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
