We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Personal Trainer and Small Group Fitness Instructor to join our health club team. Trainer must have experience working with complex situations, such as post physical therapy and pain management clients. This role involves designing and delivering engaging fitness programs, leading group classes, and providing personalized training to clients of all fitness levels. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for health and wellness, excellent teaching skills, and a comprehensive understanding of various fitness disciplines. Responsibilities
- Develop customized personal training programs tailored to individual client needs, goals, and fitness levels.
- Lead small group fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, or dance-based workouts.
- Instruct clients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and safety protocols.
- Incorporate diverse training methods including kickboxing, sports coaching, and functional training to enhance client engagement.
- Educate clients on physiology, anatomy, and health principles to promote safe and effective workouts.
- Maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere to encourage client retention and satisfaction.
- Track client progress and adjust programs accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote gym memberships and fitness programs through effective sales techniques.
- Stay current with industry trends and certifications to continually improve instructional skills.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in personal training or group fitness instruction within a gym, physical therapy or health club setting.
- Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction from recognized organizations (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM).
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and program design principles.
- Skills in teaching gen pop strength & conditioning + pain management work. Please do not apply if you are a yoga or pilates coach without strength training experience.
- Ability to motivate diverse groups of clients with different fitness backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively on exercise techniques and health topics.
- Experience in fitness sales or promoting membership packages is a plus.
